how does dr/element work? long story short, it doesnt. even clubbing someone with a icecicle does bludgioning. there is no way to get around it. does dr5/fire mean he ignores 5 poins of cold from cone of cold because its not fire? no. but it means ALL physical damage is reduced and there is no way to get around it. even hitting him with a torch, the physical damage would be reduced and the fire goes threw normally. Dr/crazy made up stuff doesn't work. why do you think NOTHING has it in the MM. i can see a specific metal, or damage type but they way game mechanics work doesn't make dr/element a viable option.--Name Violation 01:13, 20 October 2009 (MDT)
You are indeed correct, I think I had planned on doing something different with the Glutton for punishment ability but made it a little less powerful and easier to understand, I don't quite remember what it was (i posted this a long time ago) but it had something to do with damage reduction and it just seemed better to have the energy types fall under damage reduction even though energy resistance is essentially the same thing. Anyhow i didn't go that way with it so i changed Feel the burn to just include the choice of resistance or reduction. --MCage 12:50, 22 May 2010 (PST)
