Bonus Feat[edit]

Is there a reason that stone deaf people don't get a bonus feat? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Othtim (talkcontribs) 14:01, 24 February 2008 (MST). Please sign your posts.

Read Lips?[edit]

Would it make sense for deaf characters (stone or partial) to have a bonus on Read Lip checks? Obviously not everyone can speak in sign language, and there are some deaf people (especially partially deaf ones) who read lips and answer verbally, even if they cannot hear their own voice. You could have something like a corresponding penalty to Speak Language checks, perhaps, to balance it out. -- Jota 20:59, 17 January 2009 (MST)

Nah, they'd just put the ranks in spot (which is the skill for reading lips) that they normally would have put in listen...it achieves the same effect. Besides, there's no such thing as a speak language check. --Daniel Draco 21:24, 17 January 2009 (MST)
