Talk:DBZ Warrior (3.5e Class)

From D&D Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

this article is perfect.

wow this is totally unbalanced. Why even bother with melee when at level 10 you can cast destructo disk for 16 rounds straight.

Its titled "DBZ Warrior"... What it heck, makes anyone think that anything starting with "DBZ" is gonna be balanced. Seriously. Goku was a deity(no he just was really strong not godhood until dbz battle of gods when he is some close to like 30 big difference)at the age of 10. Making a class for a 10 year old god is always gonna be an act of insanity. (Sigh) --129.123.251.43 01:37, 18 October 2009 (MDT)
So why waste anyone's time by doing it in the first place? Atypicaloracle 22:38, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

Power - 4/5 I give this class a 4 out of 5 because it has a good thought process but needs to be finished. --98.144.38.149 17:41, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Power - 4/5 I give this class a 4 out of 5 because it tends to be overpowered. Ive increased the cost for Destructo Disk, as it's vorpal, but I'm still working on it. --79.181.96.251 01:40, 17 November 2012 (MST)

Wording - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because I've sorted a majority of the grammar issues, plus I've worked on the wording. I think it's pretty simple now. --79.181.96.251 01:40, 17 November 2012 (MST)

Formatting - 45 I give this class a 4 out of 5 because I'm not to well taught in the formatting itself, but it's doing better. The history and example at the bottom need to be done. --79.181.96.251 01:40, 17 November 2012 (MST)

Flavor - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because if you love dbz this is perfect. I love this homebrew class and I'll be adding some more to it soon --79.181.96.251 01:40, 17 November 2012 (MST)

SSJ4[edit]

Super Saiyan 4 is non canon

False GT is cannon. Unhappy fans decided that GT was non Cannon. The orginial creator of DBZ loved GT.

-- show me the quote were Akira Toriyama said that he loved GT becuase if he did then why does dbz battle of gods write DBZ GT out of the cannon because bulma is only 30 during the events of DBZ battle of gods but is way over 30 during the events of GT those its not cannon becuase if it was then Goku would have used his god form to but he didn't (partially because it hadn't been created yet) but it does kind of raise questions to why Akira Toriyama would write Battle of god and change the final form if he "loved GT"

"Dragon Ball GT was not based on Akira Toriyama's original manga, instead being created by Toei Animation as a sequel. As the original creator of Dragon Ball, Akira Toriyama attended production meetings to provide input on the progression of the series, as well as give general thoughts on expanding upon the original material for the three anime series, and even providing character designs and the sketches for filler and movie characters." These doesn't not mean he loved it, all it means is he help in its creation.

also personal opinion Super Saiyan God is much more pleasing of a name.

very well done[edit]

all i suggest is a better level system or history of learning some of the abilities for pre-characterization back story, such as the history of how Goku came to learn all of these abilities. I doubt a standard Lawful-Good PC would know Atomic Blast or Death Beam. Same for a Chaotic-Evil character not knowing Power Lend or the Kaioken.

Balance - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because <<<the perfect training balance>>> --SgtLion (talk) 12:36, 11 November 2013 (MST)

Wording - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because <<<everything seems in order>>> --SgtLion (talk) 12:36, 11 November 2013 (MST)

Formatting - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because <<<a kick but flavorful edition to randomness based d&d>>> --SgtLion (talk) 12:36, 11 November 2013 (MST)

Flavor - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because <<<it hones in on the feeling of actually being the godlike super saiyans, while adding the realistic climb of training. Perfect gap filler for creating a deity for planar campaigns >>> --SgtLion (talk) 12:36, 11 November 2013 (MST)

Looking for a balanced, playable version?[edit]

http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/DBZ_Warrior_((3.5e_Class)Optimized_for_Balance) Still in the works but we're using progressions from Psychic Warrior, Monk, and Warlock to help maintain balance. --JBgear321 (talk) 14:08, 28 January 2014 (UTC) Please do not edit, as we're not quite done with our own revisions and updates. thank you

-Update: The class is almost completed up to 20th level. We may continue above into epic level however not at this time. If you have any minor edit ideas please let us know before you just edit it. We feel that the class is well balanced and we've put a lot of time into it. Thanks
