Commentary[edit]

I like the idea of this class, but I think the implementation could use a little work. It has relatively few unique abilities- only Quickshot, Maestro and Sniper. While these are good, I think the class would work better if you concentrated more on them, and maybe the trick-shot aspect- a bit like an Exotic Weapon Master. Thanks. I'll start editing right away. --Tetsurga 09:58, 3 February 2008 (MST)
After looking at this it seems just a means for feats. Almost all the class features of this deal with feats, save Sniper and Maestro. To improve this I would recommend just removing class features that just give feats (the character can select these on their own time) and replace them with something truly original. For example a class feature that would be unique would be one that gives the character an affinity with ranged weapons so any ranged weapon within x feet the Bow Master has the possibility to control. The mechanics to make this work would require a little work, but it really would be something extraordinary that would draw players into this class. Anyway, I would recommend removing all the class features that just give feats and replace them with your own. --Green Dragon 10:25, 4 February 2008 (MST)

Question[edit]

Why are there so many fighter feat bonuses...Or are ranger feats listed in fighter as well...? --Cerin616, Drew 11:25, 3 February 2008 (MST)

Ranger feats are listed in fighter as well. --Tetsurga 13:22, 3 February 2008 (MST)

Class[edit]

Well over all I think the class is pretty cool, I think it's ok to focus on feats, then they can get more like improved tracking, which might be neat to have in this class... but I think the Sniper ability might be a little much.... my friend and I were looking at it, and if his ranger used this as a second class he could shoot the size of a football field, with a parking lot.....LOL.....so I might make it more like2 times regular, without a penalty of some kind... --Kisame93 | Ryan B. Rating[edit]

Power - 4/5 I give this class a 4 out of 5 because it's almost well balanced. I thinkg that reducing the Sniper to two times the range increment would make it perfect --ElfsMaster 19:20, 12 August 2009 (MDT)

Wording - 4/5 I give this class a 4 out of 5 because there are minor gramatic errors and some portions of text that could be easier to understand. --ElfsMaster 19:20, 12 August 2009 (MDT)

Formatting - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because it's formatted correctly. --ElfsMaster 19:20, 12 August 2009 (MDT)

Flavor - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because it's very well described and fits a good role. Even though there are a lot of ranged specialists, this one is quite unique. --ElfsMaster 19:20, 12 August 2009 (MDT)

Changes[edit]

Acceptable description; poorly written features and some dead levels. I've reduced this to 5 levels, given them Bow Mastery feat at 1st level, and gave the other features a rewrite (because adding ECL to attack and damage is ridiculous). I don't know what to do with Maestro. Marasmusine (talk) 01:37, 30 November 2014 (MST)
