Spelling[edit]

Is the spelling intentional? In the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is spelled "Babel fish" (named after Babel from the Bible). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sledged (talkcontribs) 16:48, 13 April 2008 (MST). Please sign your posts.

Hey I went and corrected some words.
Also,>> (effect not magic therefore subject to anti-magic field) <<
Should that be >>(effect not magic, therefore this is not subject to anti-magic field)<<, i wanted to check on this because i dont know if i took the message that you were trying to get across. I would either change it to what I put(if thats what you meant) or re-word this sentence. --User:Kisame93 | Ryan B. 17:20, 13 April 2008 (MDT)
The wording is intentional for the Babble Fish. True it is inspired by the Babel Fish, but it is actually not supposed to be a conversion of the H2G2 series. This the inspriarion for the shape of the Babble Fish is from Robert A. Heinlein's The Puppet Masters unfortunatly they don't have a picture[1]. I simply wished to keep the effect of the Babel Fish, but not be flat-out unimaginative.
Also thank you for the rewording that is very helpful and if you liked this creation please check out some of my other Symbiotic subtype/Creations. --Aeros of Cupid 09:58, 14 April 2008 (MDT)

?[edit]

Well, I have another question, actually two... as to the Drain when you remove the Babble Fish, is this temporary or forever? Also when the Babble Fish is removed do you get to keep the bonus feat, you may want to add that the feat is removed when you take the 'fishy' off, because a character who has no regard for Wis. may keep removing it to get the free feat then re-attach it. --User:Kisame93 | Ryan B. 16:15, 15 April 2008 (MDT)

The SRD:Ability Score Loss is damage not drain and means it is temporary, also creatures naturally heal 1 ability score damage per day so in 1 to 6 days the wisdom damage will be gone and you will still have the babble fish. It's all in the ability score loss link.

The second question is you lose the b-feat when it is removed.

Thank you for you input and will add the part about the feat loss.

About Added Image[edit]

I recently added an image of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy version of the Babel Fish because it was marked under, "Need Image". Though, as stated above, the Babble Fish does not apparently look like that. I just thought it wouldn't hurt to have an image. Feel free to modify or delete it if you want --Nyoboto 14:16, 9 May 2009 (MDT)
