Talk:Allurin (3.5e Race)

I really liked this race, especially the way they came to be. Its kind of haunting, and provides a very nice foundation for rp'ing one. reddir (talk)

Planetouched Subtype[edit]

Do you mean extraplanar subtype? Planetouched is not a subtype unless you've created one. —Sledged (talk) 10:47, 26 June 2007 (MDT)

See Player's Guide to Faerun, Lesser Planetouched description (p. 170?), it was described there. Basicly, it's the opposite of a native outsider. Instead of an outsider without most of the penalties, it is a Humanoid, but also subject to stuff that usually only hurts outsiders. --Mkill 11:05, 26 June 2007 (MDT)

Edits by an IP[edit]

Some crazy guy on the 4th of February went through and made various edits. Be sure to revert if these edits are not wanted. --TK-Squared 02:38, 7 February 2009 (MST)

Yeah, with the addition of those IP edits (which may be useful in a variant capacity, but not to the main article) the race has become greatly unbalanced. Perhaps I'll just bug the The Tavern folk and try and come to a solution. --Ganteka 13:29, 10 April 2009 (MDT)

Balance Issue[edit]

I feel like there isn't a good incentive to have a +1 LA version. You comparatively aren't getting that much. I think moving the Vestigial Wings virtual feat to the +1 LA version would be a fair choice. The character is more in touch with their demon ancestry genetically, and this manifests with wings.

I'm mostly trying to balance it with itself by making the +1 LA worth taking. I am going to make the change but I figured documenting the intention here would better serve for criticism. (As is, the +0 LA version has 3 virtual feats AND their choice at level 1, meaning a minimum of +9 Jump, and +5 on CHA checks vs. targets who find you attractive. This change eliminates the former from the +0 LA version and reduces the latter.) I'm also highly considering moving the Outsider ancestry over and making the +0 LA version Humanoid (Extraplanar) like a Lesser Aasimar would be. 173.63.112.124 08:43, 27 December 2013 (MST)

Taint?[edit]

I understand that little can break the taint, but what can? Could a major artifact with great magical power like This Work? Also, does this affect classes like paladins? can you NOT be an Allurin paladin?

Is This Homebrew?[edit]

if not what book is it from?

Racial[edit]

What is the difference between Allurins and Tieflings? Is there a 5e version of this race? --Redrum 18:23, 18 July 2018 (MDT)
