This spell requires no verbal, somatic or material components: it can be cast merely by concentrating on it. It allows one other spell to be cast without verbal or somatic components, as if using the Silent Spell and Still Spell feats, but with no special advance preparation or increase in level of the companion spell. This companion spell must be cast no more than three rounds after subtle casting is cast, and cannot be higher than 2nd level (and this restriction includes the use of metamagic feats: thus, an Empowered magic missile is too powerful to be cast this way).
