[edit] Physical Qualities
St. Amands are very similar to humans in size and shape, and are often mistook for humans, mainly because nobody knows they exist. However they tend to be slender and taller than humans. Typical eye colors are blue or brown, and hair color is blond or brown, but sometimes black. Another rarely noticed feature is that St. Amands only age at nine tenths of the standard human rate, and can easily live to be one hundred twenty or older.
[edit] Playing an St. Amand
St. Amands are rare and are few and far between in most campaign settings. However, their help and insight is often invaluable, and should never go unnoticed. St. Amands are usually very noble and gentle in most regards, but they can be very tricky and deceptive when given proper incentive. St. Amands are almost always musically talented and enjoy music more so than almost any other species. this makes them excellent bards. Due to the high intelligence of a St. Amand, it typically does not get along with dumber creatures, which they refer to as "lesser species". They are stubborn at times, and are slow to trust whilst quick to anger. However once one has gotten into a group he/she usually becomes very friendly with his/her companions. Due to a family curse all female St. Amands have all male children, and all male St. Amands have all female children. A female St. Amand always keeps her maiden name after marriage.
