More information...

A tiny rabbit pops out of the bag of your opponent and rushes away with surprising speed. His allies will be alerted of your presence.

Speaker Homunculi are creatures created by the spell Ell's Handy Homunculus. They are messengers, rapidly running across the battlefield to deliver messages to and fro. They help fight the information war by making messaging not take any actions on their master's part.

Speakers have a +12 racial bonus to Jump checks.

While generally constructs are neutral, a homunculi picks up the alignment of its creator on casting.

Combat[edit]

Handy homunculi make poor weapons. They always run if possible, attacking with their feet only in dire need.

They are one of the few homunculi that "speak". However, it's not anything they say on their part, they are like parrots and repeat what they hear. Generally you tell them to deliver a message to a certain person or a certain place, and they do so. Of course, they need to know where they are going, so if they have never been there before they may get lost.

Messenger (Su): A speaker rabbit may join an ally in range for the typical restrictions of the Message spell, and whisper the things its master is saying to the ally, who may speak back and the voice able to be heard by the master. The speaker is thus a sort of two way intercom between itself and the master.

Construction[edit]

The body is made of fur and clay, with the core crystal often embedded in the forehead. A drop of the caster's blood is mixed in with the clay, which animates the fur skin and body on casting Ell's Handy Homunculus. The entire cost of supplies equals 500 gp.

Assembling the body requires a DC 15 Craft (pottery) or Craft (taxidermy) check.

CL 1st; Ell's Handy Homunculus, Message; Never sold; Cost 500 gp + 25 XP.
