Class Skills (2 + Int modifier per level, ×4 at 1st level)
All of the following are class features of the Souleater.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Souleaters are proficient with all simple weapons. They are proficient with light armor but not with shields.
Invocations Known: A Souleater can learn the same invocations as a Warlock.
Eldritch Blast (Sp): This is the same class feature as the "Warlock's" (Complete Arcane) Eldritch Blast.
Souleating (Ex): Whenever a Souleater kills an opponent, he consumes a part of his opponents soul, healing him for one hitpoint per hit die of the killed creature. In addition to that he recives a +1 bonus on attacks and saves for an number of rounds equal to half of his Souleater-levels (round down). You can not have this bonus more than once at a time, but another kill will reset its duration.
Drain life (Sp): With 4th level a Souleater can once per day use his Eldritch Blast ability to directly transfer life from his target to himself. As a part of this ability the Souleater fires an Eldritch blast wich may not have any blastshape or essence invocations on it, but deals damage as normal to its target. The Souleater is healed for the amount of damage dealt to the target. Instead of a standard action for a normal Eldritch Blast this takes a fullround action. Every four level after that the Souleater gains an additional use per day for this ability.
Souldrain (Ex): At 6th level a Souleater gains the ability to drain a part of an opponents soul from it. Whenever a Souleater scores a critical hit with an Eldritch blast or a Drain life he gains temporary hitpoints equal to half of the damage the attack dealt. These hitpoints last for one hour.
Improved Souleating (Ex): At 10th level the Souleaters Souleating ability is improved, so that he now is healed for two points per hit die of his victims instead of one, and the bonus on attacks and saves is a +2.
Greater Souleating (Ex): At 18th level a Souleater masters the Souleating ability, now being healed for three points per hit die of his victims, and getting a bonus of +3 on attacks and saves.
Souleaters who become good, lose their Souleating, Souldrain and Drain life abilities.
