In the day, appears as a large humanoid. At night, they change into a wicked and cunning distortion.

Soul reapers are strange beings that resemble humanoids. They naturally imitate humanoid appearance and mannerisms, but something wholly alien lurks within their minds, making them difficult to predict and understand. Soul reapers are typically gentle and mild mannered, rising to attack as need be. They care little for the world around them, being aloof or indifferent. Incidentally, most soul reapers would simply prefer to fit in with other societies, but know that they never will.
As the sun sets, a strange transformation overtakes the soul reapers. They're bodies shrink down, their minds grow sharp and they lose a bit of their sense of themselves. Their desires grow and they become oddly motivated. They become driven by impulse and lust.

During the daytime, they appear as large humanoids with taught muscles, broad shoulders, wavy dark hair and gentle smiles. Their skin is a golden tan and their eyes are bright sunny yellow or orange.
At night, they appear as medium humanoids, shriveled and gaunt, slouched shoulders and curious grimaces. Their skin fades to a pale hue, with a bluish tinge. Their eyes turn wholly black. with pale skin. They appear fiendish with a malevolent aura about them.

- Day: +2 Strength, −2 Intelligence, −2 Wisdom, +2 Charisma
- Night: −2 Strength, +2 Intelligence, +2 Wisdom, −2 Charisma: In the day, he is a powerful fighter, but at night he mind becomes keen and his magic abilities are enhanced.
- Aberration
- Daytime size is Large. Nightime size is Medium: During the day, a soul reaper gains a -1 size penalty to his AC, -4 to his Hide skill, a +4 size bonus on grapple checks, 10 foot reach and space.
- Soul reaper daytime base land speed is 30ft. Soul reaper nighttime base land speed is 50ft.
- Darkvision 60 feet.
- Deathly Scream (Su): 1/day per 2 Hit Dice (minimum of 1). The soul reaper screams an unbearable, otherworldly high-pitched choir that soon drives everyone within 60 feet insane. All targets within 60 feet of the soul reaper must make a Will save (DC 10 + his Constitution bonus) or become confused and shaken for 1d6+1 rounds.
- Soul Imprint (Su): 1/week. When a soul reaper kills a living humanoid, (reducing its Hit Points to -10 or below) he may take a free action to imprint that soul onto his own, allowing him to mimic that person with perfect accuracy, as if he had read the individual's mind. He learns to imitate how the individual thinks, acts and feels about everything. A soul reaper can assume the shape of any Small, Medium or Large humanoid. The soul reaper remains in his imprinted form until he chooses to abandon it. A change in form cannot be dispelled, but a soul reaper reverts to his natural form when killed. A true seeing spell or ability reveals his natural form. Such a disguise grants a +14 bonus to Disguise and Bluff checks made to impersonate that individual.
