[edit] Class Features
All of the following are class features of the Soul Bender.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Soul Benders are proficient with all Martial Weapons, light armor and Medium armor, and their Souls form is proficient with anything the Soul Bender itself is.
Friendly soul: At 1st level a Soul Bender gains the ability to interact with their own soul, due to the souls nature as an immaterial being he can temporarily ask it to leave and look through the astral plane for info of the surroundings for 1 min/ Con mod. A persons soul has the same disposition as they do, but are always friendly to the "owner" of the soul. While a soul is outside of the body the physical body is unconscious.
Paragon Soul: A 1st level Soul bender that's of a good alignment possesses a particularly strong soul of good, gaining a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls against evil foes, this increases by 1 at 3rd, 6th, 9th, 11th, 14th, 16th, 18th, and finally at 20th level. Once this number is at least a plus 5 the Soul Bender adds this bonus to all her saving throws as well, further more the development of the soul into this pinnacle of good shows visible changes on the surface that grant other powers.
1- The soul is blue and appears like an otherworldly version of the Soul Bender's race when exposed, it also has a calming effect on people and animals, giving a +2 to all Diplomacy and Handle Animal checks.
2- The appearance of the soul changes to more of a holy version of the Soul Bender's race, gaining a subtle aura of good that can be felt with detect effects.
3- remains the same appearance wise, though it might gain a holy symbol of some kind on it's body. It also increases the bonus to Diplomacy and Handle Animal to a +4, as well as giving the Soul Bender the "Smite Evil" power as a paladin of equal level, except they can use it 1/day + 1/2 their level.
4- At this point the souls appearance is more like a Holy fighter then anything, still possessing likeness to the Soul Benders race but with a radiance and grace possibly even unlike the owner of it. This holy light creates a 10ft radius of illumination in dark areas and even pierces lower level Darkness affects and natural fogs.
5- Thanks to the Holy appearance of the soul and the prowess and good nature of the Soul Bender, she gains a +5 to any charisma based check involved in helping an individual, doing a good deed, or interaction with good aligned beings.
6- Now the souls appearance is greatly influenced by the divine light that radiates from it, appearing as a totally different being that the race of the Soul Bender, more akin to a being in the lore of her race that would strike terror in the hearts of evil beings, like a powerful good aligned outsider or mythological figure. This transformation also effects the Soul Bender herself, giving her golden or light blue markings along her body, and her eyes turn a bright gold or blue as well, giving a +10 to intimidate checks against evil beings and able to emit a cone of light that pierces even greater darkness like effects.
7- The Soul Bender's form changes more to match their soul, such as possessing something that would denote a holy being in their culture (such a Halo or something similar) as well as making their gaze able to harm evil beings. Any undead or Evil aligned creature that meets the gaze of the Soul Bender must make a will save (DC 10 + Charisma mod) or be frozen in place for 1 round and take 1D6/level of divine damage
8- At this stage the Soul Bender begins to radiate an Aura of Good powerful enough to cause evil being around them to run in fear. They gain a Frightful Presence of 30ft with a DC of 35, and can Turn Undead and other Evil creatures as a cleric of equal level.
9- The Soul has reached the true end of it change to the divine, as has the Soul Bender herself. Her subtype changes to 'Outsider', and her native plain also becomes Celestia. Her soul appears more like the Avatar of a Good aligned deity then it's former race, and the aura given by them both can destroy even the most potent of darkness. She gains Fast Healing equal to her Wisdom mod + Her Charisma mod, She can once a day preform a "Minor Miracle" which acts like the Limited Wish spell without XP loss, and she can once per year resurrect a follow comrade without the loss of a level.
Soul's Sheild (SU): The character can now speak to a person or creature's soul to give a temporary AC bonus of +X at 2nd, 4th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 15th, and 17th levels. X is the amount of pluses they get at each level. The soul bender must roll a 2d4 to see how long this AC bonus stays on the person or animal for.
OverSoul (EX): At 4th level, the character can now see souls as what they are, and tell what type of emotional state they are in. This makes it easier for the Soul Bender to help the person or creature or to help or take the soul if it's just wandering.
- Enable OverSoul: The character can interact with higher beings than just normal persons or creatures. They can now speak to the direct souls of higher beings, though, doing so they must meditate for an hour each day.The character can now also use the empower feat when it comes to healing spells without any adjustment level to the spell itself.
- Greater OverSoul: The character who reaches this can now see souls of gods and such, marveling over any that they see. If a character does come in contact with one though, the soul bender will become paralyzed for 1d8 rounds, attempting to keep the character's thoughts straight. Whenever the character casts healing spells, the person who gets the heal gets temporary health points
Command Souls [SU]: The Soul Bender at 7th level can now command the souls of lesser beings, but with only simple words. But the Soul Bender can never make the soul do something harmful to it's physical body.
Halo Blast/Infernal Blast [EX]: The blast deals 2d6 at level 8 and then goes up another 2d6 at 10th, 15th and 20th level.
- Halo Blast: A bright light shines forth from the top of the Soul Bender's head giving the character the illusion that they have a halo. The halo begins to grow brighter until bursting into an explosion, dealing xd6s to enemies.
- Infernal Blast: The ground around the character begins to die and crack, steam can be seen rising from each individual crack. Soon bits of lava will shoot up from the cracks and burst out towards that of the enemy dealing a x3d6 points of damage for every 1d8 round that the lava is on them.
