[edit] Snaga Crossroads

[edit] Quest Introduction

Essentially a dungeon crawl through some tunnels.

[edit] History

Snaga are slaves and basically weak beings, but they can build vile cities, even crossroads. This shows normal crossroads between 2 bases.

[edit] Hook

Use any motivation after a big plot twist.

[edit] Background

Do some brief battle with thieves (human or snaga I don't care), then whatever.

[edit] NPCs

Snarghiir of korsh, snaga rouge lvl3 Kerwyn, human rouge lvl2. The red knives thieves' guild The hornet's thieves' guild a level 4 were-rat fighter The torture master (see stage one) A level 3 goblin barbarian The three dragon-like elders

[edit] Items

The three staves of the elders. PCs use these to summon the elders. needs a use magic item or Int check to work

[edit] Stage One: The Thieves

The quest will begin when the Red knives thieves' guild asks the PCs something. They will ask them to rescue Kerwyn the thief and to capture the snaga slave who tried to assassinate the guild master. They tell the PCs that the base that holds them can be found by taking the snaga crossroads. they must take out or sneak past the guards at the front gate to the base. A successful search check will reveal that there is a hole caused by a magical explosion at the side of the base, and the repairers seem to be taking a break. Giving them a really easy way to sneak past the guards if they don't see them already. when they get to the center of the base after fighting 2 leveled thieves, they must fight the base's torture master (a human level 4 fighter/level 3 rouge.) and then take his prison key, free the 2 prisoners and then escape. You can turn the snaga in at the start, or you can decide to help him. Either way the guild will turn on the PCs. If they help him he will tell them that the guild is planning a massive attack on whatever town the PCs were currently in. He recommends the combined forces of the elders, but you don't have to if the PCs want more xp. If they accept the elders' help, see below.

[edit] Stage Two: Invoking the Elders

If the PCs accepted the offer, the snaga rouge will tell them that there are three staves that are needed to summon the elders. And that the staves are located in 3 different places. The first one called the bronze staff is located in a cave called the skeleton's cavern. It's basically a basic dungeon with leveled monsters all the way until the last cavern which is guarded by a level 4 were-rat fighter. (he can be equipped with any weapon the DM wants, even the staff itself). once they get the staff it has the spells cure minor wounds and cure severe wounds charged 20 times each in it. The second staff (the silver staff) is located back at the Hornet thieves' guild. It's the same basic thing as the last time they ventured in, except they have to go to the treasure room instead of the prison room. When they get there, they fight a level 4 rouge/level 3 bard. (again, can be equipped with anything proficient with a rouge or bard.) The silver staff has magic missile and fireball charged 40 times each. The third staff (The golden staff) is in a whole new base called Fort Minor. The PCs can get there using the crossroads. Fort Minor is an abandoned fort infested with giant rats and goblins among other leveled monsters. After fighting through all of that, they must fight the goblin chieftain (a level 3 goblin barbarian and yet again, can be equipped with anything the DM wants.) The staff has cure severe wounds and cone of cold charged 60 times each. They must make a use magic item check to summon the elders and when they get to the city the battle begins.

[edit] The Battle Against the Thieves

The elders will take care of the really big threats but The PCs must fight kerwyn and 2 leveled thieves. After that they must fight some more leveled thieves and then the battle is over, the city winning thanks to the elders and the PCs.

[edit] Stage Three: Harpies' Point

Kill the last of the rebels, that is all.
