Skill Reaver[edit]

Some people are naturally better at some things then others. The Skill Reaver takes this to a new level, trying to be better than everyone at everything. While they can't perform many feats, they can pretty much do everything else, only better.

Making a Skill Reaver[edit]

A Skill Reaver is a Focused Skill user. That's it. They are the silver-tongued diplomat, the silent thief, or the perfect performer. In combat, they usually stay back and use a crossbow, or simply taunt the enemy, whilst others defeat them. That's not their role.

No two skill reavers are alike. Some focus on physical skills, like jump and swim, whereas others might enjoy being Knowledgeable. The only thing that is similar is their drive to be the best at their set of skills.

Abilities: Intelligence is of the most importance, as it is intelligence that determines how many skill points a Skill Reaver gets. The other abilities determine the skills a Skill Reaver does best at.

Races: In all races there are those competitive people who just have to be better then everyone. As such, there are Skill Reavers found amongst every race.

Alignment: Due to the sheer range of different kinds of Skill Reavers, there is no preferred alignment.

Starting Gold: Like Rogue.

Starting Age: Simple.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Skill Reaver.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Skill Reavers are proficient with all simple weapons and light armor.

Bonus Feats: Because of Skill Reavers intelligence their skills improve much faster, this gives them bonus feats like a fighter but these feats can be used on anything.

Combat Skills (Ex): A skill reaver can use his skills during combat to great effect. The skills available for this feature are listed below. At first level he may use the lowest ability. At 4th level, and every 4 levels thereafter (4th, 8th, 12th,...), his Combat skills increase, allowing him to use the next highest ability. In order to use each of these, you need to have max ranks in the skill at the level you gain the ability (IE: Basic, Novice, so on). Using each ability is a standard action and you may choose from the highest ability you have down to the lowest.

For example, a 4th level rogue takes a level in Skill Reaver. Now his max skills increases to his Character level + 4, compared to the regular +3.

Synergy boost (Ex): At second level, and every three levels after (5th, 8th...), a Skill Reaver gains an increase to synergy bonuses, as indicated in the table: The Skill Reaver.

Skill Focus: At third level, and every three levels after (6th, 9th...), a Skill Reaver may choose a Skill Focus feat.

Enhanced Focus "(Ex)": At fourth level, and every three levels after (7th, 10th...), a Skill Reavers enhancement bonus from Skill Focus increases by +1.
