An eyeless bat hangs from the ceiling, its wings slowly spreading, its legs more like snake tails, curled around its perch with a powerful grip.

Shouter Homunculi are creatures created by the spell Ell's Handy Homunculus. They make good shouts as they are LOUD. When disturb they make so much racket they call in the army.

While generally constructs are neutral, a homunculi picks up the alignment of its creator on casting.

Combat[edit]

Handy homunculi make poor weapons. However when pressed it employs its Screech ability, then attacks if the creature looks debilitated.

Screech (Su): Every 1d4 rounds a Shouter Homunculus may employ Sonic Snap (Spell Compendium) as the spell, at a CL equal to its HD. The save DC is 10, and is Wisdom based.

Construction[edit]

The body is made of fabric and wood, with the core crystal often embedded in the stomach. A drop of the caster's blood is used to coat the wood and stain them, which animates them for flight on casting Ell's Handy Homunculus. The entire cost of supplies equals 500 gp.

Assembling the body requires a DC 15 Craft (weaver) or Craft (woodwork) check.

CL 1st; Ell's Handy Homunculus, Sonic Snap; Never sold; Cost 500 gp + 25 XP.
