Shield Sphere: This metallic sphere that is 3 inches in diameter, when activated by the correct command word quickly flies around the user granting a shield bonus to AC equal to the bonus of the sphere. The sphere emits a magic force field for this effect and will also block magic missiles as the shield spell. Furthermore, the sphere will attempt to block any attack, even while the user is flat-footed, offering the bonus under any circumstance as long as the sphere is active. The sphere can only provide defense for up to 3 strikes per round, unless the user decides to have the sphere focus on one target, in that case it will provide defense for all attacks from the target for that round.

The sphere, if attacked directly, has the following statistics:

Size: Tiny, HP: 15 + bonus of the sphere, Hardness: 12 + bonus of the sphere, AC: 30 (+4 size, +16 forcefield).

Moderate Abjuration; CL 7th; Craft Wondrous Item, shield, creator’s caster level must be at least two times that of the bonus placed in the sphere; Price 1,000 gp (+1), 4,000 gp (+2), 9,000 gp (+3), 16,000 gp (+4), 25,000 gp (+5), 36,000 gp (+6), 49,000 gp (+7), 64,000 gp (+8); Weight 1/2 lb.
