You absorb the brunt of incoming damage with your shield.
Prerequisite
Shield Proficiency, Base attack bonus +12
Benefit
While using and receiving the armor class benefits of a shield, you gain a damage reduction of 1/-, which stacks with any other damage reduction you may have.
