 shadow priest
shadow priests deal mind damage, sap wills to fight, and can even steal the very essence of the target these mages are a sect of forbidden art and not everyone can be one.
 Making a shadow priest
A ranged attacker this class excels at mind attacks sacrificing defenses for powerful mind attacks. best to have someone in front of you to soak up damage .
Abilities: intellegence is a must for this class due because it determines what DC you make for your spells also a good back up are con for the ability to take some damage. also a high wisdom is important for the off chance you fumble . all skills should be balanced
Races: mind flayers and war forged are quick masters of this class however any class with high intelligence can be a shadow priest.
Alignment: chaotic neutral no exceptions .

 Class Features
All of the following are class features of the shadow priest.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: shadow priests are proficient with simple weapons and light armor
mind flay: the shadow priest's bread and butter this spell is your most important spelled deals 1d6 damage. it also gains 1d6 every odd level, this spell can be used as a spell blast or a channeled burst to deal extra damage. such as a lvl 1-6 character can deal a extra 1d4 per round until its the priests next turn, this also goes up 1d4 per lvl example 1-6 1d4, 7-12 2d4,13-20 4d4. However to have this happen you must make a concentration check the dc's vary 1-6 DC15, 7-12 DC 20,13-20 DC 25
shadow word misery: the shadow priest as a half action can place a curse on the target and cause 1d3 damage over 4 rounds as you learn variations the dice goes up example rank 1 1d3 rank 2 1d6 rank 3 1d8
shadow orb: your dm must role a d% you have a 5 % chance of spawning a shadow orb. the shadow orb is a shadow elemental it is tiny and in a ball form, it lasts for 2d4 rounds and can attack with shadow bolt and hit for 1d4 damage, as you have more of a chance to spawn a shadow orb and also it will summon 2 of them
mind lock: when this curse is placed on a spell caster this can block them from casting a spell for the next round.the target get's a Will save (dc 10+half your class lvl+int mod)
mind lash: once a day the shadow priest hits the target with such hate he literally hits the brian with a lash of a mental whip and dose 1d12 damage
shadow form: the shadow priest called apoun the powers of darkness to cover him self in a shadowy veil thus granting him access to shadow form exclusive abilities,and also grants a +6 to ac
vampiric blessing: you can place a mark on the target for each damage you or your party deals your blessing heals everyone for 5% of the damage
shadow word pain: shadow word pain is an ability that hammers the foe cutting there tendons and slamming on a pressure point deals 1d8 damage ( only useable in shadow from)
drain strength: once per week you can sap your foes strength , cutting it in half.
psykick scream: the priest causes up to 10 enemies to run away in fear for 2 rounds the targets can return to attack after that.
steal courage: the target is feared and loses its senses temporally letting its guard down for will saves can only be used once a day and target gets a will save dc 15
drain magic: once per week you can steal your opponents spell points or power points, you can take 5 thus limiting what they can use per day
drain hp: 3 times a day you can steal 10 of your opponents hp and spread it among your party healing them for 1d6 per player. the target get's a Will save (dc 10+half your class lvl+int mod)
fear: you can look into your opponents soul and instill in them there greatest fear destroying there courage if target is fear less you take 3d6 damage the target get's a Will save (dc 10+half your class lvl+int mod)
drain will: once a day you can look through a attackers soul and destroy there will to fight the target get's a Will save (dc 10+half your class lvl+int mod)
body manipulation: once a day you can take control of a target and have it as your thrall the target gets a will save (dc 10+half your class+int mod)
shadow slip: 4x a day while in shadow form you can phase shift into the shadow plane and back to the plane you originated advoiding a killing blow.( only useable in shadow form)
mind bomb: once a day you place a bomb inside the targets mind and the target gets a will save dc 10 if the target fails a trigger is placed in its mind if the target attacks the brain of the target is ripped out and placed in the hand of the caster.(only useable in shadow form)
feed: you can feed on your targets life force and steal years of there life to enhance yours this ability can only be used 3 times in the course of a year but you literally get the targets vial organs and add them to enhance your own if your twisted enough

if the shadow priest takes any side like good and evil or becomes lawful in any way the shadow priest loses its powers and starts to go back to darkness until the point were the shadow priest dies and gets enveloped by darkness

mind flay final: this is it what your years of training have lead up to you are a master of mind flay. the ability deals 12d6 damage and now deals an extra 1d8 per round dc 30 concentration check
shadow word death:' when a target has 100 hp or less you can kill it with one word pretty epic target gets a will save DC 30
mind sear:' you go into the target's mind buying it with shadow flames this deals 1d6 per round for 4d4 rounds
mind spike:' you create a spike in the targets mind thus hitting him for 4d10 damage the target gets a will save DC 35
mass dispel:' the shadow priest can once a day cast this spell this causes all magic heading into the circle to fissile out it lasts 1d4 rounds
darkness incarnate:' at this point the shadow priest has a veil over his face perementally covering his face and his eyes glow your favorite color, also wings made of shadow grow out of your back and ever were you step you leave shadowy foot prints, this lasts for 3 minuets
mind vision:' the shadow priest looks through the mind of the target and sees through his eyes and can do things to him for 2 minuets
devouring plague :' this curse is placed on the target on a spiffic body part dm's discretion and this curse eats away at the flesh and muscle and once the part is finished the curse is lifted leaving bones the target must make a will save DC 20 or go into shock
medulla attack :' this is the final attack of the shadow priest, and can only be used once a week the priest takes his shadow form and turns it into a living shadow this shadow goes into the target and severs the medulla this ability leaves the priest at 1 hp and priest faints.
