[edit] Schicksals
A refreshing alternative for many 3.5e campaign settings, constructed form the ground up for a new gaming experience. introducing a variety of new options (such as firearms and vehicles).
The Material Plane of Schicksals has four playable time periods: Utopia will be the first to be created
"the age of mage-fear," a setting where electricity has recently been discovered, magic (especially non-bardic arcane)has been blamed for the recent near annihilation of the material plane. Fire arms are at the stage of the real world 18th century.
"the arcane renaissance" a time where arcane magic is beginning to be accepted again and technology has reached the early to mid 1900's
"Utopia" magic and real world tech have become commonplace together, and tech levels have developed beyond those of the current real world.
"The Neo-Yami Era" mostly "underdark", though a few "surface societies" remain after the great war, and dark magic reigns supreme.
