Those drawn to this class find that the quick and fluid displays of the style allow them to to fully express how beautifully deadly a battle can be.
[edit] Making a Ribbon Dancer
Unlike most Adventurers, Ribbon Dancers do not seek to find glory in fighting or large amounts of wealth. Ribbon Dancers seek to build a reputation for speed, skill, and grace. They do not seek out tough enemies to kill, instead they dazzle and confound would be opponents. They bask in the oppertunity to display their abbilities before a crowd. They are somewhat familure with the Bards egerness to put on a show. As an Arcane Spell Caster, the Ribbon Dancer pales beside a Wizard lacking both the number of spells, and in lack of spells known. As a Warrior, the Ribbon Dancer's limited weapons a feats are laughable to a Fighter. It's the unique mix of the two that turns the tables on any that think a Ribbon Dancer is unable to handle combat.
Graceful and fuild, the Ribbon Dancer is a good secondary fighter, but their limited overall ability keeps them form providing support to others.
Abilities: Dexterity and Charisma are the key abilities for a Ribbon Dancer, but they also benifit from having good Constitution and Intelligence scores.
Races: Races that enjoy finesse and beauty are more likly to try this class than others, but there have been many races that have tried to learn to wield this wild art.
Alignment: Any, but most who learn this class tend toward Chaotic.
Starting Gold: 5d4×10 gp (125 gp).
Starting Age: Moderate.

[edit] Class Features
Ribbon Dancers use speed, skill, and magic to confuse and defeat their opponents, but it requirers dedication to master the odd style of dance and magic. All of the following are class features of the Ribbon Dancer.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Because they focus so much on the use of their Ribbon ability, Ribbon Dancers are only proficien with the dagger. Since armor restricts the movement of it's wearer, Ribbon Dancers do not learn to use any armor or sheilds.
Spells: Unlike other Arcane Spell Casters, Ribbon Dancers use their force of will to reshape the elemental energy around them. The save DCs and Bonus spells per Day are based on charisma and they gain bonus spells based on charisma. A Ribbon Dancer must have a charisma score of 10 + the level of the spell to be cast, so a charisma score of 11 means the Ribbon Dancer can only cast 1st level spells. Ribbon Dancers choose their spells from the following list: Spells with the (element) designator indicate the form of the spell with the same element as the Elemental Focus ability. Spell list derived from Players Handbook, Players Handbook II, and Complete Arcane.

Elemental Focus When a Ribbon Dancer fist learns to shape the wild elemental energies around them, they find that one element responds best to them. On creation, a Ribbon Dancer must choose the element they are best with Air (Electricity), Earth (Acid), Fire (Fire), or Water (Cold). The Element they choose determins the type of damage their Ribbon does.
Ribbon The primary focus of a Ribbon Dancer is, of course, creating a ribbon like flow of energy. Their control over the ribbon improves as they gain experiance. They start with a ribbon that is able to reach and threaten an area of 10ft. as with a weapon with reach, but can attack opponents adjacent to them. Attack rolls are modified buy the Characters Dexterity Bonus as if a ranged attack, but does not provoke an attack of opertunity. The Ribbon, although arcane energy, is not subject to Spell Resistance.
Graceful Aura The complex full body movements of the Ribbon Dancer make them harder to read in combat, and it grants them a bonus to Attack and AC (Already included in the Full Attack). As a Swift Action, if the Ribbon Dancer succeds in a Perform (Dance) check DC 15, They extend this bonus to Allies up to 30ft away.
Twin Ribbons A Ribbon Dancer of 4th level or Higher can, as a Swift Action, split their Ribbon in two. The Ribbon Dancer is treated as having the Two-Weapon Fighting Feat while using the Twin Ribbons. Unlike the Ribbon, the weaker Twin Ribbons are subject to Spell Resistance.
Ribbon Shroud While using the Twin Ribbons, the Ribbon Dancer gains the benifit of having partial concealment and gains a 20% miss chance against ranged attacks.
Elemental Resistance Upon reaching 10th level, Ribbon Dancers learn to reduce the amount of damage they take from their chosen element. each attack that deals damage of the same type as the element for the Elemental Focus ability, the damage is reduced by the number indicated.
Improved Twin Ribbons Upon reaching 11th level, the Ribbon Dancer learns to make a second attack with the extra ribbon. This attack is at a -5 penalty.
Greater Twin Ribbons At 17th level or above, the Ribbon Dancer becomes a spinning blur of movement. This allows the Ribbon Dancer to make an extra attack at their highest attack bonus.

[edit] Campaign Information
[edit] Playing a Ribbon Dancer
She spun and jumped, her twin ribbons of fire wrapping around her and lashing out. The straw practice dummies lite up on contact as the Ribbon Dancer spirals from one to the next. Soon all twelve dummies are illuminating her in torch light, and the crowd of villagers cheers.
Religion: Just as each Ribbon Dancer develops an individual style of dance, so to do they see differant ways of worship. While many find ways to incorperate dance, most consider it blastphamy to use the training as worship, particularly the ones who follow racial deities.
Other Classes: Ribbon Dancers tend to have very little in common with those they travel with, and sometimes seem to act more on their own. This is not because of indeferance to those around them, but because of what calls to their hearts. Barbarians commitment to fighting inspires some Ribbon Dancers, but most find them reckless and blunt. Bards are quick to join in on the Ribbon Dancer and help amplify the performance, esspecially those that use flutes or drums. Ribbon Dancers find the added dimention fun and exilerating and befriend Bards that stay near them for a long time.
Combat: Combat is one of the most complex areas to play as a Ribbon Dancer, because not only is the horde of goblins a dangerous threat, but an audiance (abet one that will likely not survive the show). Ribbon Dancers bemuse and confuse opponites and draw out event a simple fight into a spectacular performance.
Advancement: Unless they find a deper calling in something else, most Ribbon Dancers will stay true to the style, but some may choose to gain a few benifetes from other classes. those who do usually choose from the Fighter's feats, Sorcerer's spell casting, or Rogue's skills.
