The effect spreads out and persists like an emanation, but it can pass through solid barriers, to a maximum of three feet of dirt or wood.
- One foot of solid rock is equal to three feet of dirt or wood.
- One inch of solid metal is equal to three feet of dirt or wood.
- A paper-thin layer of lead or mithral is impenetrable to any amount of radiation.
