Practiced Evolved[edit]

All evolved humans discover that they are different at some point in their lives . Some live in fear of their gift, believing it to be a curse and so hide it, never using it unless some extraordinary circumstances warrant it. Others will play around with it, treating it like some new kind of toy. And then there are those who, for whatever personal reason, decide to hone their abilities to the point where they become the most gifted, or the most deadly, of their kind.

Requirements[edit]

To qualify to become a Practiced Evolved, a character must fulfill the following criteria.

Skill: Power (any) 13 ranks

Feat: Evolved, any two other Power feats

Class Information[edit]

Hit Die: 1d8

Action Points: 6 + one-half character level, rounded down, every time the character attains a new level in this class.

Class Skills[edit]

The Practiced Evolved's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are: Bluff (Cha), Escape Artist (Dex), Hide (Dex), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), Knowledge (current events, pop culture, streetwise) (Int), Listen (Wis), Move Silently (Dex), Profession (Wis), Read/Write Language (none), Sense Motive (Wis), Speak Language (none), Spot (Wis)

Skill Points at Each Level: 3 + Int modifier.

Class Features[edit]

The following features pertain to the Practiced Evolved advanced class.

Leave Nothing To Chance[edit]

At 1st level, the Practiced Evolved has learnt how to eke out the maximum chance of success from using her powers. Whenever she spends an Action Point to modify the result of a Power skill check, she rolls a d8 in place of a d6.

Bonus Power Feat[edit]

At 2nd level and again at 4th level, the Practiced Evolved gains an additonal Power feat. The Practiced Evolved must meet the prerequisites for her chosen feat.

Unwavering Focus[edit]

At 3rd level, the Practiced Evolved gains the ability to use her power with the utmost control, even in situations not to her advantage. Whenever she makes a Power skill check, she may choose to Take 10, even in combat or stressful situations.

Moment Of Mastery[edit]

At 5th level, a Practiced Evolved can temporarily gain a full measure of control over the potential she will one day realise. This ability is only usable once per day, and requires the expenditure of an Action Point to activate it. Once done, the Practiced Evolved may treat her next Power Skill check as if she had obtained a result of 20 on her d20 roll.
