Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: Vague, more of a guideline on how to make specific traits. What if I pick a pattern that is unlikely to be broken - I get a permanent bonus?

Obsessive compulsive disorder[edit]

This character is obsessed by patterns and routine.

Benefit: When you perform a task, and you do it in your usual pattern, you get a bonus to a die roll. For example:

Task Benefit
A wizard casts the same spell at the start of every encounter +1 Caster Level
A rogue starts an encounter by tumbling past the first opponent +1 on Tumble
A bard goes to the Inn for information every new town +1 on Gather Information
A fighter starts every fight with a charge +1 attack bonus
A sorcerer always casts fly after invisibility +1 Caster Level

Drawback: When you are interrupted from your ususal routine, you get a penalty on the task. For example:

Task Drawback
The wizard gets counterspelled at the start of the encounter 10% arcane failure chance on the next spell
The rogue gets hit while tumbling -1 on the next attack roll
The Inn is closed Stunned for 1d4 rounds
The fighter cannot charge directly to his opponent -1 attack bonus
The sorcerer has used up his spells per day after casting fly Stunned for 1d4 rounds

Special: This trait must be taken at 1st level.
