Nightmare Ride (4e Feat)

Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: This needs rewriting. It has an attack roll but doesn't use Implement or Weapon. It is a level 1 encounter power that stuns on a miss. The Beast Form keyword only makes sense if you are a druid. It has (save ends) and an after effect, which are only appropriate for a daily power. It's all too much.

Nightmare Ride [Racial]

An oft-employed trick of Pookas is to transform into a terrifying steed and bear their helpless victims off on a terrifying gallop across the countryside.
Prerequisite: Pooka
Benefit: You can swap one 1st-level or higher Enounter attack power you know for the Nightmare Ride attack power. Once per Encounter, you can attempt a grab attack and spirit the target away on a wild ride, before bucking them unceremoniously onto the ground.
Nightmare Ride Pooka Racial Power
You sweep off an unlucky victim to endure a nightmarish gallop and then throw them to the ground.
Encounter Star.gif Beast Form, Illusion, Fear
Standard Action Melee
Prerequisite: You must have the wild shape power.
Requirement: You must successfully Grab your target.
Primary Target: One creature
Attack: Charisma Vs. Will
Hit: You transform into a steed (horse, deer, goat or any animal capable of bearing your target's weight) and race off with the target helpless on your back. You subject the target to a surreal ride across nightmarishly harsh terrain. The target takes 1d10 + Dexterity modifier damage from the roughness of the journey and the environment. (save ends).
Miss: The target is stunned until the end of your next turn, but you grant combat advantage.
Secondary Target: Enemies adjacent to primary target.
Secondary Attack: Dexterity Vs. Reflex.
Hit: 1d10 + Dexterity modifier damage and you push the target 1 square, knocking the target prone.
Aftereffect: 1d10 + Dexterity modifier damage and you fling (push) the target a number of squares equal to your Dexterity modifier, knocking the target prone. The target is stunned until the end of your next turn.
Special: You and your victim are treated as absent for the duration of the power, but reappear in the same square when the power ends. Large enemies are unaffected by this power.
