Nanon (Zyanya Supplement)
From D&D Wiki
 Life and Society:
The Nanon measure success by educational level, family reputation, and financial status. Among the most patriotic people in the world, they are extremely proud of their culture, heritage, and way of life. The Nanon are reserved and private but tend to be more hospitable in rural areas. Politeness is valued in human interactions.
Both the nuclear family and the extended family are seen as important in Nanon. Many people visit their grandparents at least monthly, and aunts, uncles, and cousins are part of everyday life.
Military service is compulsory for adult males.
The Nanon consider cooking to be an art form, and are one of the few cultures where males often dominate the kitchens. Regional traditions are strong. There are several types of cooking, ranging from hearty, inexpensive fare to sophisticated dishes with costly ingredients. Lunch is the main meal of the day, usually taking at least an hour to eat.
The Church of Samad is still the only religion in Nanon, but the Nanon do not center their lives around the church the way most other Amareth do. The baptism and communion ceremonies are often considered mere formalities that are often ignored among the lower castes.
