Physical Description[edit]

Riolu and lucario are bipedal, canine-like Pokémon that harness arcane energy to strike their foes with ferocity and power.

Riolu look similar to small jackal pups. They are predominantly blue and black, with a small white ring that encircles their neck. White bumps protrude from the backs of their forepaws. They have a small tail that is the same blue as their fur, and they stand on their toes rather than on their paws. They bear two red eyes, two pointed ears and a snout. On the sides of their heads are two small black appendages, one on each side, that allow them to detect and manipulate aura.

Lucario resemble adult jackals with similar fur to their younger kin, but their chest fur becomes cream-colored. Their bumps become short, round spikes, and in addition, a third becomes visible on their chest. Their tail increases length alongside their body, and they still stand on their toes rather than on their entire paws. The two small appendages that were on the sides of their head now move the back and increase to four, two on each side.

These bipedal creatures have been known to possess reversed fur colors, with it's originally cream-colored fur being blue and it's usually blue fur colored gold, and the black lightens in pitch to a more ashen color. Though this fur pattern exists, it is extremely rare.

History[edit]

Lucarios, and their pups known as riolu, were discovered in the mountains of the Sinnoh region. They are a race of creatures that love combat and refine their fighting skills constantly, preferring to fight unarmed using their aura to face their foes.

While Riolus and lucarios live predominantly in the wild, they can be taken in by other humanoids they refer to as "Trainers". This has become a trend among all Pokémon races and requires immense trust between both Pokémon and humanoid.

Society[edit]

Lucario and riolu tend to live in packs deep in the mountains, although they will exhibit extreme loyalty to anyone who befriends them. They also possess a strong sense of justice, protecting law among their packs. The appendages that protrude from the back of their heads allows them to detect and manipulate auras, as well as emanate their own aura to communicate emotions and simple images to others of their kind. Some lucario are said to be so skilled that they can sense the aura of creatures up to half a mile away. This does, however, seem to take immense amounts of training for them. They are a society of combat oriented creatures, whom believe that training is a very important part of their daily routine.

Names[edit]

Being from the wild, they retain the same name as their species. However, some Lucario are willing to either be named or take on their own name. Lucario prefer to take names based on their abilities, but some are named by their Trainers.

Male Names: Aegle, Auran, Stray, Renzi

Female Names: Lucia, Immortal, Leia, Aljah
