Lizardfolk Variant[edit]

In the Great Swamp of Rethild lived a particular type of lizardfolk. They were well-versed in stealth hunting, and preferred their natural weapons when they could. Their ravenous diet lent them great strength, which did not go unrecognized. This resulted in hordes of them being captured and enslaved by settlers in the Lapal region. Their servitude did not last and many of them eventually escaped into the surrounding areas, resulting in a diaspora.

This race variant replaces the Ability Score Increase, Cunning Artisan, and Hunter's Lore traits.

Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2, and your Strength score increases by 1.

Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Swamp Dweller. You can attempt to hide even when you are only lightly obscured by foliage, heavy rain, falling snow, mist, and other natural phenomena. You also have advantage on checks to Hide when submerged in water or within a swamp.
