[edit] Class Features

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: simple weapons, light and medium armor, and light shields

Spells: His base daily allotment is given in the Table. In addition, he receives bonus spells per day if he has a high intelligence modifier . A librarian must get a good night sleep (8 hours) and spend 1 hour memorizing his spell book he can then spontaneously cast any of the spells on his list. A librarian can also add spells to his text books. He must seek out and collect new spells much as a wizard does. Spontaneous spells cast with metamagic applied are cast as a full round action (until level 3).

A librarian begins play with a textbook containing all 0-level divine and arcane spells plus six 1st-level divine and arcane spells of the player's choice from an classes spell list. For each point of Intelligence bonus the librarian has, the textbook has an additional 1st-level divine spell and arcane spell. At each new class level, the librarian gains six plus intelligence modifier of new arcane spells and divine spells for his textbook; these can be of any spell level that the librarian can cast (based on his new librarian level) and are chosen from any classes spell list. At any time, a librarian can also add spells found on scrolls containing divine or arcane spells to his textbook, but he must make any rolls and spend the time required (see Adding Spells to a Wizard's Spell book on page 178 of the Player's Handbook).

Signet Blast(Su): You have inscribed upon your palm 9 signets of energy (fire, water, electricity, sonic, acid, cold, force, holy, and unholy). Signet Blast is an at will ranged touch attack, not subject to spell resistance and deals damage of your choosing. Choosing the type of signet damage is a free action. A librarian may also add his BAB plus his intelligence modifier to the damage dealt.

Armored Mage(Ex): Allows him to avoid arcane spell failure as long as he sticks to light armor, medium armor and light shields

Create Scroll(Su): Gain scribe scroll as a bonus feat, but the librarian doesn't take exp loss from scribing scrolls.

Spontaneous Metamagic(Su): Spells cast spontaneously can now have metamagic applied to them and cast as a standard action instead of a full round action.

Bonus Feat: You receive a bonus feat. It can be chosen as a normal feat and you must meet all requirements and prerequisites as normal.

Deceive Item(Ex): A librarian has the ability to more easily command magic items. When making a Use Magic Device check, a librarian can take 10 even if distracted or threatened.

Obtain Familiar: Obtain a familiar in the same manner as a sorcerer or wizard

Chain Spell(Su): Redirect spells to affect secondary targets

Full Signet Blast(Su): The librarian fires all energy types at once, tripling the damage dealt by the signet blast
