Legendary Shinobi (3.5e Prestige Class)
From D&D Wiki
|“||You two don't know me at all, do you? Should've done your homework. Jiraiya the Toad Sage falls victim to no woman's charm! Rare beauties drop for me like blossoms in a storm! It isn't in my nature to be duped by the wiles of women. When you've reached the stature I have, the ladies kneel and worship at your awesomeness!!||”|
|—Toad Sage Jiraiya, Human Naruto Shinobi16, Legendary Shinobi5, Shinobi Sage2, Naruto Manga/Anime|
Legendary Shinobi are those shinobi who distinguish themselves in the world and not only appreciate the honor, but take it to heart.
Becoming a Legendary Shinobi
Becoming a Legendary Shinobi sometimes isn't a character's main goal, sometimes it just happens. Others who want to become legendary do everything they can to become one.
|Chakra:||The Shinobi needs a minimum of 120 Chakra points before he can take this prestige class.|
|Special:||The Shinobi must find some way to distinguish himself and make his name known to the world. Be this one large, grand deed, or several small deeds, Good or Evil, they change the fate of the earth, and the Shinobi becomes known for them.|
Class Skills (6 + Int modifier per level)
Legendary Shinobi class abilities are awesome. End of story.
Legendary Confidence: A Legendary is so sure(and reassured by others) of his abilities that he gains a +10 morale bonus on all will saves made against fear/shaken/etc. effects. He does not gain this benefit if he is unconcious.
Jutsu Master: A Legendary Shinobi knows all Ninjutsu or Taijutsu his class levels would allow. For example, Jiraiya knows all ninjutsu of level 16 and lower.
Mass Staredown: As the Samurai class ability in the Complete Warrior Book.
Disciple: A Legendary Shinobi may, if he wishes, and if the DM allows, take on a Disciple. This Disciple must be met in-game and be willing to follow the Legendary Shinobi on their own decision(although the Legendary Shinobi may attempt to coerce or persuade the prospective Disciple) Once a Disciple is taken in, they function as a PC. A Disciple cannot be more than 5 levels below his sensei. If Jiraiya's Disciple, Naruto(pre-timeskip) attains level 18 before Jiraiya attains level 24, Naruto is unable to learn anything more from Jiraiya and is now considered an NPC once more.
Teach Jutsu: A Legendary Shinobi can teach his Disciple a jutsu he knows that the disciple doesn't once every 2d4 months, to a maximum of number equal to his int mod jutsu taught.
Playing a Legendary Shinobi
Advancement: Use Naruto Shinobi, ANBU Agent, and Shinobi Sage(Coming Someday!) to the fullest extent. There's 40 class levels right there. 50 if you count EPIC Shinobi, 60 counting EPIC ANBU.
Resources: Same as normal Shinobi.
Legendary Shinobi in the World
