A lance is a weapon favored by mounted warriors. It consists of a long shaft with a sharp point on the end, and is designed to make devastating charges. A lance is a one-handed weapon when you use it mounted, but is a two-handed weapon when you use it on foot.
The lance is most effective whilst you are riding a mount. When you use the lance whilst not mounted, you take a -2 penalty to attack rolls wit hit. While you are mounted, your charge attacks with a lance deal 1[W] extra damage
The lance can be used by a Small character in the same way a Medium character can.
The lance is one-handed, but can be used two-handed. If you do so, you gain a +1 bonus to the lance's damage rolls.
