Jumpy (3.5e Flaw)

Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: Saving throw needs changing, as flaw should still be relevant at higher levels.

[edit] Jumpy [General]

You have a tendency towards nervousness, & tend to block or parry any percieved threat - even a mere pat on the back.
Effect:
Effect: If touched, you must make a saving throw. (Choose when you take the flaw whether it will force Will, Reflex, or Fortitude saves.) Fail DC 15, and you will block or parry; fail DC 10, & either your block or counterattack will deal your normal unarmed damage. (If you are armed, you get +2 to the save, & will still deal unarmed damage with the weapon, just of its damage type.) When in combat, the DC increases by 5, but you may choose to forgo the roll & conduct combat normally, at the risk of attacking an ally if they touched you.
Roleplaying Ideas: Such a character may have been subjected to stressful combat training and/or be a veteran of a particularly traumatic war or battle. Additionally, it tends to complicate relationships if you violently block your lover's caress & steele yourself for battle.
