[edit] Class Features

All of the following are class features of the inspector.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Inspectors are proficient with simple weapons and hand-crossbows. If the campaign setting allows then the Inspector is also proficient with pistols and other handguns.

Bonus Feat: Alertness, Bravery, Chain-Smoking Badass Cold Endurance (Frostburn), Cool Head (Oriental Adventures), Diligent, Insightful (Complete Arcane), Investigator, Kami's Intuition (Oriental Adventures), Leadership, Lucky, Negotiator, Persuasive, Smooth Talk (Oriental Adventures), Stealthy

On the Case (Ex): At 1st level, if you are hired to locate a specific item, person, group, or beast, you gain a +2 bonus all check to locating the item/person/group/or beast in question. If you are briefed on the subject beforehand you gain a +5 bonus instead. This also counts towards bounties/charges.

Discern Poison (Ex): At 2nd level, an inspector's field work has granted him the ability to discern from the effects the type of poison used on any victim with a Knowledge (Nature) for natural poisons or a Knowledge (Arcana) for non-natural poisons. The check being Knowledge of the DC of the Poison. This process takes 2 rounds of study before the check is made. If failed the inspector may not attempt again. If they later find out the type of poison, they receive a +2 bonus on the next use of this class feature.

Blood Splatter Analysis(Ex): At 5th level, an inspector's field work and traumatic observations allows him the ability to tell from the blood in an area what caused said blood to be shed. An inspector left with a suspect blood splattering can take 20- Charisma modifier minutes to attempt to piece together the situation. After this period of study the Inspector must make a knowledge check of the DM's choice that is appropriate for the situation, with an appropriate corresponding DC. If the inspector succeeds he gains insight as to what weapons/natural weapons/spells/diseases caused the situation.
