Genelfs are elven Genasi, somewhat more elegant than ordinary Genasi.
Play an Genelf if you want...
- To control elemental powers and the ability to change personality and physical appearance.
- To be stealthy and quick, yet powerful and knowledgeable.
- To be a member of a race that favors the: Ranger or Rogue classes.
Genelves do actually have a non-elemental state of being, yet these are seldom seen among the most civilized of peoples. Yet as the Genasi blood does provide the being with elemental resistances and appearances, the Elven blood that runs through their veins allows for the to be quicker than a normal Genasi. The Elf blood that runs in their veins causes members of this race to be elven. The skin of a Genelf comes in several shades, depending on which Elemental Manifestation.
- Earthsoul: Brown skin: golden energy lines and eyes; bald with golden energy lines glowing on the head.
- Firesoul: Ruddy bronze skin: fiery orange energy lines and eyes; flickering flames coming out of the energy lines on the head.
- Stormsoul: Purple skin: silvery energy lines; glowing crystalline silver spikes on head.
- Watersoul: Sea-foam green skin: bright blue energy lines; bald with blue energy lines glowing on the head.
- Windsoul: Silver skin: light blue energy lines; glowing blue and gray ice crystal spikes on the head.
Genelves have an average lifespan comparable to that of an elf. They live to be about 200 years old and are very active even when they seem too old to do anything.
Playing an Genelf
The manifestation that a Genelf chooses depends on the region in which they live in. There are some Genelves that don't have an elemental manifestation, though these are very rare and sometimes more temperamental than their brethren, these are more commonly the most level-headed and smartest of the Genelf. The Genelf usually lives in a clan like group or in tribes, though there are more and more Genelves turning to adventuring as a source of pleasure and income. When a Genelf decides to stop adventuring they stay near the area that they originally came from. When a Genelf becomes 150 they usually settle down to raise a family if they haven't already. Young Genelves start adventuring at the age of around 75, when they are nearing their peak physical condition, which they seem to retain throughout the rest of their life. They usually aren't very religious, but when they worship a god it usually is Avandra, Melora, the Raven Queen, or Sehanine.

Three sample Genelf adventurers are described below.
Terrusariano, renowned drunken brawler. He relies on his strengthened resistance to alcohol to win drinking contests, and cheats in brawls by punching people with acid.
Shock,a Powerful Elementalist. Unaware of his origin or name he goes by Shock or Shocker because the group of adventurer traveling with him nicknamed him that because his hair flickers as lightning dances in and around it.
