Sorry to hear that they all perished. It can be difficult to start a new party... Noname 20:42, 29 April 2008 (MDT)
No the gang of idiots (as a reference to their stupid death and overconfident behaviour) were experienced.--Lord Dhazriel 20:46, 29 April 2008 (MDT)
Wow. "Gang of idiots." That bad, huh? Noname 20:56, 29 April 2008 (MDT)
How would you call a party dying before an enemy with 5 ECL less?--Lord Dhazriel 21:03, 29 April 2008 (MDT)
What kind of enemy was that? And how? Noname 21:13, 29 April 2008 (MDT)
Lizardfolks, Now here the story. Three adventurers, a warrior, another warrior and a barbarian left the peaceful kingdom of Salazar in Ezuria to the wild land of Paludia. Seeking riches and power they met the consul of the Salazarian's colony. After doing many small missions for him he gave them the first big mission. Rescue the Ambassador's daughter from a tribe of evil lizardfolks. "Beware they could be ambush, alway be on your guard". As expected the brave party ran at full speed in the deadly jungle of Paludia. Of course the first warrior didn't notice the hole before him when he was running (spike in pit are alway considered vorpal weapon in a variant rule). He fell in the pit leaving the others to fight alone an little army of Lizardfolks. The other warrior watched 300 before the game. So he tried to jump and kick a lizardfolk in the pit. This is SpartaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! You guessed the lizardfolk avoided and the unlucky spartan got a critical hit with the spikes from my part. The barbarian was surrounded from all the side so he enraged. But his AC penalty was his doom, he was hit by 7 poisoned arrows, javelins and dart in the same round. He resisted some but in the end his strength was like 7. He did slaughtered most of the lizardfolks. The last three climbed into trees and began to shoot him poisoned dart and coconuts. He began to try cutting the trees instead of caring from the secondary effect of the poison (using a delayed poison home rule). In the meanwhile the living warrior managed to climb back from the hole. Exactly at the same time the Barbarian decided to active "Berserkergang" (the ultimate rage). As a side effect of the rage he jumped on the nearest living thing. The barbarian killed his friend by throwing him again in the pit (with his Greataxe) he happily managed kill all the lizardfolk. After he proclame victory he took 5d6 damage to Constitution and died (instead of taking the Anti-Poison potion he carried in case of Marsh poison. I never laugh morevthan this time, i really like this group :) .--Lord Dhazriel 21:33, 29 April 2008 (MDT)
