Speak with Beasts and Plants. The forest avenger can communicate with beasts and plants as if they shared a language.

Tree Stride. Once on its turn, the forest avenger can use 10 feet of its movement to step magically into one living tree within its reach and emerge from a second living tree within 60 feet of the first tree, appearing in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the second tree. Both trees must be Large or bigger.

If the forest avengers had their way, the act of harming an animal or plant in any way would be a crime punishable by death. They look like male dwarves with woody, moss-covered skin and beards made from leaves and other plant matter.

Nature's Fanatics. Many—including most of their allies—think of the forest avengers as a race of fanatics, zealots, and extremists, though they are usually kept in line by treants, whom the forest avengers revere almost to the point of worship, and fey creatures, which the forest avengers respect, and are respected by. Some clans of forest avengers form bonds with druids and elves they trust deeply.
Forest avengers see that humanoids can live their entire lives without harming a single beast or plant, magically creating food and living in stone-carved buildings. They often attack woodcutters and hunters, but they are especially wrathful towards creatures careless with fire and those that destroy ancient trees. When treants feel motivated to move against a particular creature or group of creatures, forest avengers often follow, unleashing nature's wrath upon their enemies, teleporting between trees and animating plants to entangle foes.
