Feykin are the people whose human ancestry has long since been intertwined with that of a special fey creature, such as a nymph, dryad, or even an eladrin or elf. Whatever their ancestry, feykin are beautiful and intelligent and, despite the weak fey blood in their veins, they have inherited abnormal and extraordinary abilities from their fey heritage.

Play a Feykin if you want...

  • To be clever and attractive.
  • To be someone with a deep connection to both the Feywild and the Material Plane.
  • To be a member of a race that favors the Warlock, Warlord, Wizard, and Bard classes.

Physical Qualities[edit]

Feykin are thin and graceful, males with attractively chisled parts and females with curves, both all in the right places to hold their natural attractiveness. Most feykin are of somewhat human height, but their slender frame makes them incredibly light, weighing even less than an eladrin or elf. Feykin often have pointed ears, but not elongated such as those found on eladrin or elves. Males only rarely sprout moustaches or beards, and, when they do, they are sparse and wispy. A Feykin's hair is usually in the same color range of a human's although they sometimes come in a mossy-green or deep gold, like an elf's. Feykin's eyes can be a variety of colors, ranging from normal hues such as blue and green, to more unusual colors, like orange and violet. Feykin often live much older than humans in thanks to their fey heritage, sometimes up to nearly 250 years, reaching adulthood at about the same time as humans.

Playing a Feykin[edit]

Feykin are often very playful and find a way to turn even the most serious of challenges into a sport or game of some kind. It is often very difficult to upset a feykin, as they usually find one way or another to make a situation more pleasant or cheerful than it really is. Their joyful nature, coupled with their natural attractiveness, makes them easily acceptable in most places. In addition, Feykin are very intelligent and clever, making them excellent leaders.

Feykin Adventurers[edit]

Four sample feykin adventurers are described below.

Laburn is a feykin warlock whose fey ancestors have long had a hold on his life ever since he forged a pact with them in a wish for more strength. He now uses these new powers to protect those around him, although he isn't beneath using them for a prank or game of sorts. While he had decided to show off his magic at a duchess's grand ball, he encountered a party of adventurers who had arrived to help the duchess with a problem of hers. After deciding to accompany them, he soon learned how much more interesting the life of an adventurer would be. Since then, he has wandered the roads, looking for adventure with his ancestors at his back.

Meilial is a feykin warlord who had long since dreamed of a life on the road. Her stay in the barracks of a rich and wealthy noble had taught her how dreary and uneventful city life had been and longed for the excitement and fun being a freelance adventurer would bring her. One day, she was assigned to lead a platoon of soldiers and militiamen alongside a group of adventurers in taking siege to a hobgoblin stronghold and snuck away with the group for the grandiose and exciting life of the adventurer.

Keiluun is a feykin wizard who fancies himself somewhat of an illusionist. Preferring spells that mess with his enemies' minds, he always enjoyed watching goblins and orcs dance around like fools while they were under his spells. One day, however, when he was inside a cave near his home, enjoying a little kobold jig for once, he hadn't realized that one of the crafty little lizards had broken free of his spell as it hit him hard upside the skull with a club, knocking him out. Taken to a faraway kobold cave, he was held prisoner, but he was soon rescued and his brave rescuers offered to escort him back home. He politely declined, deciding he would take a break from his usual shows and wander the world for a while to see what he could make do a Dwarven jig next.

Tibielle is a feykin bard who was renowned for her beauty and cunning. She would often dance and sing for the commoners and peasants who couldn't normally view expensive shows on their salaries, sharing her everyday joy with the people around her. One day, however, a few of her fans had grown to like her a bit too much and kidnapped her during the night, whisking her away to an abandoned warehouse. Thankfully for her, a few of her newer fans happened to be adventurers who had noticed the people kidnap her and rescued her. In awe of the ability wielded by these adventurers, it was then she decided to persue to arcane musical art of a bard and has long since been a wandering singer and dancer with a taste for adventure.
