Fear of Starvation (3.5e Flaw)

From D&D Wiki

Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: So if the campaign is in a city, or the character acquires a ring of sustenance, this becomes a free feat. It's also not clear which carrying capacity to use (light, medium, heavy, maximum load?)

You can help D&D Wiki by better balancing the mechanics of this page. When the mechanics have been changed so that this template is no longer applicable please remove this template. If you do not understand balance please leave comments on this page's talk page before making any edits.

Fear of Starvation[edit]

You are terrified of starving to death, as such you must always bring food with you.

Effect: Due to your irrational fear of starving to death, even if you are in a metropolis-type city, or equipped with a Ring of Sustenance or similar magic item, you must always carry at least 1/2 your light carrying capacity in edible substances (This doesn't include water). If you fail to do so, you are shaken until you manage to replenish your supplies. You also are 30% fatter than other members of your race due to your overeating after periods without additional food.
