Other NPC Information
Farketh Psimagi is yet another leftover from a campaign i never ran or finished making. He comes from a small village of elves deep in the elder wood, where all elves are psions, wizards, druids, rangers, fighters, or duskblades (with a few exceptions). To keep his village safe in the event of his capture and interrogation, all knowledge of where it lies was sealed by him into a thought bottle, as is required of villagers wanting to explore the world beyond. However, he could return anytime he wished, as the village has contacts elsewhere in the Europe-sized forest.
He travels with his raven familiar Ob-lon, and his sage psicrystal Sageling.
He was built using the 28-point buy skill point system on page 169 of the DMG. In addition, he was to be one of only a dozen or so gestalt characters in the entire campaign.
At several other points, there were various other characters meant to be in a party with him, though none were even finished, and more than a few were discarded or replaced.
[edit] Other notes
This character was intended to be included along with several variants:
- in addition to their regular low-light vision, elves were to have 60' darkvision, and half-elves were to have 30' darkvision
- temporary improvements to one's primary spellcasting/manifester score would grant additional spell slots, power points, and so on. However, these extra slots/points disappear when the effect vanishes, much like the extra hit points granted by bear's endurance or a barbarian's rage feature.
- the following variants from Unearthed Arcana that affect wizards or psions that were intended to be used are: the "Daily Uses" for Metamagic and Metapsionic feats from page 152, and the "Daily Spell List" from page 153.
