Evolved creatures represent animals with opposable thumbs (or similar appendages) and near-human brains, they can often talk, and function in many of the same ways as humans do, often Evolved quadrepeds become bi-pedal.


[edit] Creating an Evolved Creature

Evolved is an inherited template, that can be added to any animal or vermin. It can be applied to any monster that is not bipedal and has an intelligence 6 or lower as well.

[edit] Size and Type

The creature's type changes to Humanoid, do not recaluclate Hit Dice, BAB or Saves, however, skill points are recalculated.

[edit] Hit Dice

Any fractal racial Hit Dice the creature had are no longer applicable, however any saves, skill points, or base attack bonus granted by these Hit Dice remain.

[edit] Speed

The creature's base land speed increases by 10ft, to a maximum of 40ft + 10 feet for each size catagory above medium, minus 10ft for each size catagory below medium.

[edit] Armor Class

The creature's natural armor decreases by 1 if it does not reside in mountains, underground environments, or water, but other then that, there are no changes.

[edit] Attack

The base creature gains the Ability to use manufactured weapons, but, it loses any attacks that focus on the hands (claws, paws, etc.).

[edit] Full Attack

An Evolved creature uses it's manufactured weapons (if any) as a primary attack, and it's natural weapons (if any) as a secondary.

[edit] Special Attacks

The creature doesn't gain or lose any special attacks.

[edit] Special Qualities

The creature doesn't gain or lose any special qualities.

[edit] Abilities

Intelligence +10 Charisma +4 Wisdom +4, these scores are not rolled in the case of characters, they are instead the base creature's with the added bonus. This is in order to create smart animals, and allow them to become functional characters.

The Base Creature's skills remain as normal.

[edit] Feats

No feats are gained or lost as a result of this template, unless they relate to the use of claws (creatures that gain claws from a source other then their base race, do not loose claw-based feats) or are creature feats (scent, flyby attack, etc.).

[edit] Environment

Same as base creature, however evolved creatures tend to build vilages or towns in these areas.

[edit] Organization

Same as base creature, unless the largest group is less than twenty people. They then tend to group in small cities or live side-by-side another race in a foreign land.

[edit] Challenge Rating

Same as base creature +1

[edit] Treasure

As base creature, except Evolved creatures also have manufactured goods such as candles, lanterns, armor and weaponry.

[edit] Alignment

Any; the Evolved creatures have a sence of morality not found among others of their species.

By Class Level.
