Eternal Servant[edit]

'Your tortured conscience is my new entertainment..
—The Darklord

Becoming a Eternal Servant[edit]

Eternal Servants are not your typical type of servant. They are, in a sense, a toy for an evil entity to torment. They are not only plagued with guilt, their guilt is manifested into a physical form, disfiguring them. The more they are tormented by their guilt, the more they take on a demon-like appearance for others to see the severity of their crimes. Because of this, Eternal Servants are often shunned, and often times shown violence, for their evil appearance. Also, with a twist of irony, they are forced to judge the souls of those around them. It is believed that this is because the Darklord believes that the ultimate punishment is the damned being forced to judge where souls are to go, knowing they themselves will never have the freedom of death.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Eternal Servant.

Misunderstood (Su): The Eternal Servant exudes a constant Evil Aura regardless of alignment, and it cannot be suppressed or hidden. If you have any form or aura that represents good, it is automatically overridden. This aura only affects alignment-based detection magic.

Forced Judgement (Sp): Should a Eternal Servant witness the death of a mortal creature, time freezes for all except that Eternal Servant. He has an obligation to slice the now dead creature with his weapon, allowing it to move on to its destination, be it Heaven, the Nine Hells, the Abyss, or elsewhere. This is accomplished by beating the dead creatures will save (This is determined by your Will Save + DC), in which the Eternal Servant gets +10 to his or her roll.(Souls can choose not to resist.) Once the deed has been done, time unfreezes, and the positioning of the Eternal Servant and all other persons that had changed during the time freeze are reverted to their previous locations before the freeze. Should he/she fail to perform this task, he/she shall be forced to act on Resentment (when available) with a -5 penalty on his/her rolls.

Resentment (Su): If the Eternal Servant fails the will test against the newly dead they must each roll 3d20 (Harbinger gets +10 in this roll) for a chance that they might be restored to their body. This also happens if the Servant fails the retrieve soul, with a -5 penalty. Deceased loses game: If the Eternal Servant wins, he/she rolls for percentile: 25% or less, soul is utterly destroyed, 26-65% Soul enters body and becomes undead servant of 1/4 level until destroyed, 66-84% Soul enters body and becomes undead servant of 1/2 level until destroyed, 85-100% Soul becomes undead servant of equal level, and regenerates as long as the Eternal Servant is nearby. This percent also allows the Eternal Servant to hide the servant inside their weapon, and summon them later (no limit to number of servants.) Deceased Wins game: If the Eternal Servant fails this as well the soul is restored to the body. That character must role a percentage in order to see what capacity they are restored in: 50% and Below and they return as a thinking undead of their current level (Monster Manual for this calculation), 51-75% Restored unconscious to -9 hp, 76-94% Restored conscious to 1 hp, 95-100% Fully restored as though full restoration had been cast.
