White Elves[edit]

Graceful, beautiful, and mysterious. The White Elves are creatures of lore and legend.

Ability Scores: +2 Wisdom; +2 Charisma or +2 Dexterity

Skill Bonuses: +2 Perception, +2 Insight
Mysterious Background: You are not aware of who or what raised you or where you came from. When starting a new character,

choose one of the following effects and gain a resist 5 to it: Necrotic, Fire, Lightning, or Cold.

Fey Origin: Your ancestors were native to the Feywild,so you are considered a fey creature for the purpose of effects that relate to creature origin.
The Eyes of the Mysterious Fey: You gain The Eye of Escape power. In addition, when your white elf character gains a class utility power after 1st level, you can forgo taking a power granted to you by your class. Instead you gain a white elf utility power of the same level or lower.

Mysterious and alluring, white elves, whom come from mystical and ancient forests, are like each individual trees that inhabit those same forests: beautiful, mysterious, resilient, and unique in this world. For it is said, no two are exactly alike. Each coming into this world with a different sense of purpose but it is because of how they are raised. For most of their childhood is spent in a dream-like state. As they become adults, there is a moment that they gain true consciousness of themselves and the world around them, both the physical and metaphysical world. Many white elves don't know their true parents, but each member comes into the world with a sense of purpose, even if takes centuries to fully understand that purpose.

White elves tend to live on the outskirts of societies, avoiding them as much as necessary but when it is so they try to avoid arousal by common folk using their gifted illusive magic. It is said that white elves after fulfilling their purpose in life return to where they were once born, in those mystical forests, to go and rest for eternal sleep.

  • To be a member of a race that favors the rogue, wizard, and cleric classes.

Physical Qualities[edit]

White elves are described as average height, fair complexion with gaunt, round faces. Their hair ranges in colors from snow white to gold to soft orange to a copper-red. They have exquisite, large eyes that range in colors from pure white to shades of silver and blue, although rare, red is not unheard of. They have been described as androgynous with more prominent feminine features than masculine.

White elves live long with an average life span of about 300 years sometimes well over that. White elves do not show signs of aging. Because of their individualistic nature, they tend to choose their own style of hair and clothing preferring soft, pastel colors.

Playing a White Elf[edit]

When playing a white elf adventurer, here are a few points to consider.

Rooted with a purpose. Since the moment you came into consciousness, you knew two things: you are free to do whatever you want and you know you have a purpose. White elves will spend their entire lives achieving the purpose they feel they have.

Mysterious as the forests you came from. White elves are mysterious and you are no different. When playing as one you know that white elves are few in number and have been for millennium. You do not know your parents or the community in which you are from. Many white elves spend a good portion of their lives wondering this very thing. But it is this mysterious past that keeps you curious about who you are and the world around you. It is this curiosity that burns inside you and keeps you going forward to help you grow into who you want to be.

White elves name themselves or adopt names from other races.

White Elf Adventurers[edit]

Three sample white elf adventurers are described below.

Aarie, a white elf rogue, has always knew from the moment he came into consciousness that he was destined for greatness. As he traveled, he learned many things becoming a better and better rogue. As he became more proficient in his art, he fully understood his purpose.

Cloa is a white elf wizard who knew her purpose was to gain knowledge of all the mysterious arcane lore. She set off for the ancient wizard towers to gather and read all the scrolls and books she could obtain.

Nuuloi is a cleric. On his travels to find what his purpose was he saw a wonderful village far ahead in the distance. He camped on a hill near the village and watched the people go about their day. His feeling of joy turned into sorrow as an approaching army headed into the village and ransacked in into the ground. Innocent lives ended. He knew from that moment his purpose in life was to enact vengeance for the people of that village.

White Elf Utility Powers[edit]

When your white elf character gains a class utility power after 1st level, you can forgo taking a power granted to you by your class. Instead you gain a white elf power of the same level or lower.

Blending into the natural world is something your race is used to and occasionally do so for survival.

Effect: You can disguise yourself as a medium humanoid for one hour or until you end it as a minor action. This grants you a +5 power bonus to bluff checks made to impersonate a specific individual.

Concentrating all of your thoughts on a single person or creature, in an instant, you find out their true intentions.

Trigger: You make an insight check to sense motives and attitudes in the target.
Target: One natural or fey humanoid with a language, in the burst.
Effect:
You can communicate telepathically with the target for 5 minutes. After the effect ends, the target will have no memory of anything telepathically communicated with you.
