Dragon Slayer Shield (5e Equipment)

Armor (shield), rare (require attunement) This shield made from the scales of a single type of dragon can protect its wearer more than any shield against the breath attacks of such dragons. While holding this shield, you have a +2 bonus to AC. Whenever you are subjected to a breath attack made by a dragon, you can spend your reaction to raise your shield between you and that attack. This grant you advantage on that saving throw; furthermore, you take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, and only half damage if you fail. You can only use this shield benefits against the same damage type that is determined by the kind of dragon that provided the scales (see the table). |
