- 1 Dragon Rider
Dragon Riders are on a pilgrimage, along with their dragon companions, to Spread the word of The Order of the Flame and through which spread a message of unification between dragons and the free peoples of the world. At a young age, Dragon Riders are selected by the Divine Elders of the Order, 3 dragons who posses unnatural psionic abilities. These dragons then send Dragon Riders to collect the chosen and they are raised at the Dragon Rider Sanctuary, the location of which is top secret, and they are trained in combat and diplomacy before, at age 20, they are entrusted with a dragon egg, which takes 5 years to hatch. Once the dragon hatches, the Rider is then sent out into the world with their dragon to raise and grow. their duty is to spread the message of peace between people and dragons through example. The Rider may spread the message however they wish, through force or diplomacy, so it is possible to encounter an evil Dragon Rider. As far as the Divine Elders are Concerned, people will receive the message if they see a dragon cooperating with a free people rather than the two combating. The dragons are the companions of the Rider throughout their lives and when the Rider Inevitably passes, The Dragon devours the body as is customary and lives the rest of its life in solitude.
