Disscussion:Can a person have a familiar and an animal companion at the same time if they have the classes?

I have been arguing with a couple of players about a rule on familiars in my campaign. can a person with druid and wizard levels have both a familiar and an animal companion?

Fixed your post, the < and > marks are "comments", you're to delete that and put your name by copy/pasting the thing below. Anyway, the answer is, yes. They don't interfere with each other. If you wanted a Paladin/Druid/Wizard has a special mount, animal companion, and familiar. Not a USEFUL combination, but valid.
