Wiki Comparisons?[edit]

I have now been part of two short DnD campaigns (which leaves me pretty raw at this all). During the second Campaign, my DM introduced me to http://dnd-wiki.org, which seems pretty good.

But googling around for it lead to here, which is different, and seems to be more famous.

What are the differences? What sort of advantages are there to perusing this wiki over http://dnd-wiki.org? Any advantages of DnD Wiki?

Anyone on both whom I could talk to? (I'm thinking of putting up homebrew stuff, but keeping things updated on two wikis seems a bit silly.)

Is hanging out on both practical? (I'm used more to TvTropes and wikipedia, really.)

With curiosity, -- Nil

http://dnd-wiki.org/ is a split from this Wiki. There is no d20m section for DnD-Wiki.org like there is here, but if you don't play d20m, that doesn't matter. Content is constantly added to both wikis it seems. DnD-Wiki.org has an IRC channel, which is good if you want live help with anything. The main difference for users is that this wiki has numerical ratings for writing and whatnot while at DnD-Wiki.org uses a balance point system based on the different ways the game can be played. If anything, I can add your stuff to my personal "allowed to transfer" list for transferring to DnD-Wiki.org. It wouldn't be much to add to the pile compared to what is currently is. (These are the personal thoughts of me, and nothing official) --Havvy December 20th, 3:02a.m.
