What is homebrew?[edit]

Okay, I've been playing DnD on and off for years, mainly off, but what is this homebrew i'm reading about on here? I tried searching for it and I couldn't find anything that could answer my question, so can someone answer it? Please?

Things who weren't made by Wizard of the Coast. Homebrew is non-official material made by players.

Thanks, also I noticed that the Weapon Master Prestige Class from NWN2 is not in the prestige class list, even when factoring in the homebrew.

That is because not everything is open-game licensed.... ie, only some stuff is free, other stuff can't be put on the internet cause WotC wants you to by books.

Though notably NWN and NWN are using a 3.0 class. The class which is used in those games actually was never updated into 3.5. I did see a version in OA however.

Actually, NWN2 uses 3.5 adapted slightly for it's place in the Forgotten Realms, and being a computer game, but I understand. What really gets me though is the fact that in NWN2 Weapon Masters can't chose their fists as their melee weapon for the required Weapon Focus Feat, I planned to make a Monk/Weapon Master character to deal massive fist damage, but it wouldn't let me.
