Play an Dhampir if you want...
- To play as a creature with ungodly good looks and grace
- To be a lone wolf who wanders the land helping those whom you see fit
- To be a member of a race that favors the Fighter, Ranger, Rogue, and Sorcerer classes.
[edit] Physical Qualities
Dhampir are tall, slender, and pale. Those things, added with their normally dark hair, give them an unearthly beauty that causes any that gaze upon their face to fall in a sort of trance. Because of their super-hyper metabolism, their bodies always stay in near perfect shape. Their eye color depends on if they drink blood or not. Red eyes show blood has been drunk in the past 24 hours. If not, they will be a pale purple. The less blood a dhampir drinks, the older they appear, but no Dhampir can ever appear younger than 20 years of age once they reach maturity. If a dhampir does not drink blood at least once every two months, they will begin to age normally, but they can return to their prime appearance by drinking blood again at any time. Dhampir who have not fed for over two months will no longer suffer from vampiric afflictions, such as allergy to sunlight, but they will also not gain vampiric benefits. They will essentially be mortal, as they are capable of dying of old age should they refuse to feed, and they will have lost their vampiric abilities until they feed again. The key to dhampir's beauty and immortality is to feed off of the blood of others.
[edit] Playing a Dhampir
Dhampir are often solitary creatures, roaming the lands seeking entertainment. They tend to be disliked by others due to their chilling appearance, and animals fear them because they stink of death. Dhampir are reluctant to trust and form friendships with others due to their unnatural lifespans and unnerving diet, as well as the fact that in the eyes of many, a dhampir is no different from a vampire. Dhampir are always calm, collected, and confident on the surface, but underneath, they may be as frightened as everyone else. This is unlikely, but possible. Most dhampir, being virtually immortal, care very little about the dangers. Dhampir can be very wise and insightful through many years of experience, and although they may seem reckless, chances are that they know what they're doing.
Dhampir Characteristics: Calm, cool, collected, attractive, mysterious, independent, calculating, confident, arrogant, cruel, intrusting, wise, cynical
Male Names: Parent race's male names
Female Names: Parent race's female names
[edit] Dhampir Adventurers
Three sample Dhampir adventures are described below
Mikal is a Dhampir Fighter. Born some five centuries ago, Mikal knows what it's like to be alone. Forever wandering the lands, any who are lucky to befriend or travel with him end up getting killed off by some mysterious being determined to make his life a living hell. So onward he walks, determined to find out who, or what, continues to torment him.
Keira is a Dhampir Rogue. Keira has always been alone, and intends to keep it that way. She feels that being close to people will just get in the way of her most favorite thing: killing. Like a wraith, she sneaks behind you without a whisper, and before you know what hit you, you're on the ground, your life blood slowly being drained by her.
Chloah is a Dhampir Fighter. She has been alone for only a few years. She has been rejected by many people. She recently got some company and wants to be sure that they don't die. She hasn't seen her parents in many years. She likes to entertain the people that she meets; either with her body, or with her blade...
