From D&D Wiki
|Casting time:||1 standard action|
|Saving Throw:||Fortitude partial|
|To Develop:||1,170,000 gp, 24 days, 46,800 XP. Seed: slay (DC 25). Mitigating factors: 12d6 backlash damage (-12 DC), burn 3,500 XP (-35 DC).|
By simply announcing the doom of the target, the caster can instantly snuff out the life or animating force of any creature - even an undead or construct. The spell can instantly slay any creature of up to 240 HD. The target is entitled to a Fortitude saving throw to avoid being slain (DC = 50 + relevant ability modifier). A successful saving throw results in taking 3d10+20 damage.
The necrotic energies of this spell are extremely intense, and so using this spell brings the caster a bit closer to death as well. Using it when momento mori, demise unseen, or a nonepic death effect will suffice is not recommended.
XP Cost: 3,500 XP
