Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: Power Source needs to be one power source, not a bunch of keywords. Dagger is already a light blade. "Add your Dexterity score to your Intelligence score." - Good grief, no. "+1 to all attacks with blades." - Do you mean light blades, or heavy blades, or both? "Enrapture or Astound" - Choosing an encounter power is already part of character creation, it doesn't need to be a class feature. These powers are also not described. "Instrumentalist" - how does this interact with bard implements? As long as there's a bard in the party, the danseur has +2 speed?

Let us dance to doom.
Class Traits
Role: Striker/Controller.
Power Source: Martial, Fire, Frost, Force, Necrotic, Divine, Arcane, Psychic.
Key Abilities: Dexterity, Intelligence, Charisma
Armor Proficiencies: Cloth, Leather
Weapon Proficiencies: All Light blades, Spiked Chain, Dagger
Bonus to Defense: +2 Reflex
Hit Points at 1st Level: 12+ Constitution Score + Constitution score
Hit Points per Level Gained: 5
Healing Surges per Day: 6+ Constitution Score + Constitution modifier
Trained Skills: Diplomacy or Acrobatics.  From the class skills list below, choose 3 more trained skills at 1st level.
Class Skills: Bluff, Insight, Intimidate, Perception, Stealth, Streetwise, and Thievery.
Build Options: Agile performer, Mystic performer
Class Features: Dance Style, Enrapture or Astound, Instrumentalist

A Danseur views the world as a stage and is ever confident. Danseurs continually try to improve their movements, and in time can perform amazing acts of acrobatics. While Dansuers are fun loving, they are also a force to be reckoned with on the battle field. With quickness and accuracy they can cut down many foes, and they also have access to magical abilities. Danseurs greatly enjoy distracting, knocking down, blinding, and otherwise disorienting their foes, as to make them easy work. In a group a Danseur can perform controller roles lightly and is quite a sight in the thick of battle. Danseurs have little skill with armor and are more defensive via dodging.

Danseur Overview

Characteristics: Many everyday citizens practice the skill of dancing, but few utilize it in such a deadly manner as a Danseur. Danseurs move at alarming speeds and have access to mystic arts. And some have great knowledge of weaponry.
Religion: Many Danseurs enjoy the luck of Avandra, and are fun-loving. While the more arcane focused Danseurs prefer Ioun. Other Danseurs may worship Corellon or even Kord. Evil Danseurs may worship Tiamat.
Races: Of all the races, the most well known Danseurs are humans and elves. Although any race can take up the mantle of a Danseur.

[edit] Mystic Danseur

Mystic Danseurs utilize the arcane arts into their movements. They can manipulate many elements and even control divine and necrotic energies. A Mystic Danseur will want a higher Intelligence.

Suggested Feat: Mystic Air (Human Feat: Mystic Air)
Suggested Skills: Insight, Diplomacy, Bluff, Thievery
Suggested At-Will Powers: Pirouette and Boogie Bump
Suggested Encounter Power: Flash Dance or Flaming Fouette
Suggested Daily Power: Deadly Deboule

Unlike Mystic Danseurs, Agile Danseurs prefer to use their acrobatic skill and agility to strike foes with blades or whips and chains. An agile Danseur needs plenty of Dexterity.

Suggested Feat:Combat Reflexes-> (Human Feat: Action Surge)
Suggested Skills: Acrobatics, Thievery, Stealth, Perception
Suggested At-Will Powers: Swords Dance (or Forceful Swipe) and Graceful Leap
Suggested Encounter Power: Swirling Strike or Low-Spin Kick
Suggested Daily Power: Bladed Bolero or Kick-Ball Chain

[edit] Danseur Class Features

All Danseurs share these class features.

Dance Style: Choose one of these dance styles and gain it's benefits: Blade Twirler: +1 to all attacks with blades. Reach Master: All attacks with Spiked Chains deal 2d6 damage, rather than 2d4 damage. Arcane Weaver: Add your Dexterity score to your Intelligence score.

Enrapture or Astound: Choose either the Enrapture Encounter Power or the Astound Encounter Power.

Instrumentalist: Any time you or any ally or enemy plays an instrument you gain +2 speed on your next movement.
