Half-Elf Traits[edit]

The half-elf mystic can speak, read, and write Common, Elvish, and one extra language known already by one of the PCs.

Their base walking speed is 30 feet.

They have the darkvision and fey ancestry half-elf traits.

Spellcasting[edit]

A mystic wields spell power drawn from a synergy of natural affinity and arcane study. Charisma is the spellcasting ability for a mystic's spells. The spell save DC and spell attack modifier are noted in the Half-Elf Mystic table.

Cantrips[edit]

The mystic knows the light and ray of frost spells. At 4th level in this class, the mystic knows the friends spell; and at 10th level in this class, the poison spray spell.

Spell Slots[edit]

The half-elf mystic table shows how many spell slots they have to cast their spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these mystic spells, they must expend a slot of the spell's level or higher. They regain all expended spell slots when they finish a long rest.

Spells Known of 1st Level and Higher[edit]

The spells that the mystic knows are shown in the following table.

Mystic level Spells Known
1st detect magic, fog cloud
3rd see invisibility, web
5th dispel magic, stinking cloud
7th arcane eye, wall of fire
9th telekinesis, hold monster
11th level true seeing, eyebite
13th level teleport, forcecage
15th level antimagic field, incendiary cloud
16th level gate, prismatic wall
Spellcasting Focus[edit]

The mystic can use an orb as a spellcasting focus.

Disturb Space[edit]

The mystic can use a bonus action to disturb the space in a 5-foot cube centered on a point they can see within 60 feet. The disturbed space lasts until the start of the mystic's next turn. When a creature moves into disturbed space, the mystic can choose that the creature must stop moving or take 1d8 force damage.

At 6th level in this class, when the mystic uses this feature, they can disturb the space centered on 2 different points, and the damage increases to 2d8 force damage. At 14th level in this class, the mystic can disturb the space centered on 3 different points, and the damage increases to 3d8 force damage.

Disturb Time[edit]

Once an initiative order has being determined and the mystic is not surprised, they can choose one creature that they can see within 120. That creature takes a -3 penalty to its initiative. At 20th level in this class, the mystic can so effect 2 creatures, each taking a -5 penalty to its initiative.

Mystic Insight[edit]

From 18th level onwards, when the mystic makes a Wisdom (Insight) check to determine the truth of a written or spoken statement, they are considered proficient in the Insight skill and add double their proficiency bonus (instead of their normal proficiency bonus).
